Looking to book your FREE space at the street party tables?

Booking is NOW VERY LIMITED!

18/05 2:50pm update - Only 59 spaces remain online (this is our FINAL batch of spaces)

(With kind thanks to Debenham Sports & Leisure for the use of their booking system)

How do I book?

We ask that you book your FREE spaces online.

  1. Simply click on this booking link

Please note:

If you are a monthly or yearly member at the Leisure Centre, with a renewal/end date due before the event, you will not be able to book online unfortunately (you'll get an error message).  If this is the case for you, email us at debenhamstreetparty@gmail.com with the number of places you'd like, and we'll book you in if there is availability. Please only email us if you have already tried to book online but have an error message, as booking via email requires additional time and effort of our volunteers.

The email is checked once a day, so please be patient for a response.

  1. If you are not already registered on the leisure centre's booking site, you will need to do this to complete your booking.  Current users will need to sign in to their account.
  2. From the drop down list, click Jubilee Street Party (near the bottom of the list) and select the number of spaces at the table you would like to reserve (max set to 10 - if you need to book more, you will need to create a second booking.)
  3.
  4. Add the names of each of those you are booking for
  5. Once added to your basket you need to ensure you click checkout and click book now (even though the places are free) as the booking isn't complete until this is done.
  6. You will receive a confirmation email from Debenham Sports and Leisure

There is limited availability for these free places.  Please note, this is a community event, so you will be placed next to others from the community on our long street tables. To note, there may be a small gap between tables/booking groups to allow  people to walk to the other side of the table/road

You MUST bring your own chairs as these are not provided.

Tables will be filled from one end as people arrive. We advise you to arrive with all of your group where possible so that it is clear where the next attendees should set up their chairs. We can't allow gaps between parties/groups as we have calaculated space numbers based on people sitting next to each other.

There will be a prize for BEST DRESSED TABLE so get your thinking caps on as to how you might want to decorate your table for your group!

Can't book spaces?

If you are unable to secure spaces on the street table, don't panic! You are very welcome to bring your own table, chairs or picnic blankets (please note, the green is primarily being used for activities and games and space for this will be prioritised, so we can not guarantee spaces on the green).

If you have not pre booked a space at the provided tables, you must not sit at them.  Each space has been booked and accounted for.

FANCY DRESS COMPETITION - come in appropriate regal or jubilee themed attire and you could win a prize! All ages encouraged.

Food and drink

Do bring along your own hampers and picnics to enjoy during the event, but rest assured, there will be an opportunity for you to buy items at the event also.

The Woolpack will be open from midday, before the street party starts, so do enjoy a drink or two before the rest of the event kicks off.

Palfrey & Hall will have a BBQ to tempt you and The Debenham Lion will have a pre opening, selling a selection of drinks.

Debenham Fish and chip shop will be open noon until 8pm

Want to order scones in advance? Deben Coffee House are offering a bundle of two delicious plain scones with cornish clotted cream and raspbery jam for £4.50.  Orders need to be in with Amanda and the team by 1 June.  Please ensure you collect your scones before 2pm on Saturday 4th June

Icrecreams will be on sale from the Coffee House to ensjoy during the event.

Parking and road closure

25/04/22 - The Road Closure of the High Street between the bottom of Gracechurch Street and Water Lane has been confirmed for 12 noon and 8pm on Sunday 5 June.  Diversions will be via Henniker Road and Priory Lane/Water Lane.  Avoid these local diversions if you are lorry or tractor. If you live in the area or have a business in this part of the High Street, please can we ask that you park elsewhere in advance of the closure to ensure the success of the event.  Parking is available at the Recreation Ground or Leisure Centre.

This event is organised by the community, for the community.
