Debenham Jazz Festival
The festival is what was previously known as 'The Stradbroke Jazz Festival', but as Bob Kerr, (the founder and man behind the festival) has made a recent move to the village of Debenham, so has the festival.
The new festival site, The Debenham Community Centre, offers a much larger capacity festival, with much better facilities like camping, full bar and freshly prepared hot and cold food throughout the festival.
The festival is now in it's 15th year, but obviously in it's first year as 'Debenham Jazz Festival' so we need absolutely all the help we can get to push it. I also think this is of great community interest across East Anglia, so think it would be something a lot of your readers would be interested.
The festival is run by Bob Kerr of 'Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band' and 'New Vaudeville Band' fame, and he has also toured with his other band 'Bob Kerr and his Whoopee Band' for nearly 50 years now. The latter will of course be playing at the festival too, along with another 11 confirmed bands!
It promises to be a great weekend, with bands spread over 3 days, 5th, 6th and 7th of May. Please do have a look through our press release (attached), and let us know if it's something you can squeeze in? We give you full permission to print the release in it's entirety or simply take extracts.
Bob is also available for interviews if you'd like to take amore personal approach with the story. Just let us know a suitable time and he can meet you.
If you should be interested in a press pass for the festival, please also get in touch.
Thank you so much for your time. Just let us know if you need anything else from us!
