Debenham Community Bookshelf
Debenham Community Bookshelf is now up and running in the phone box on the green.
There is something for all ages/ abilities - toddler books in the box.
Please check it out, take a book and either return it or replace it with another next time you are passing.
It operates on a take a book, replace a book policy and is being well used.
There is one polite request – please do not leave more than one book and only if there is space on a shelf. Excess books make the phone box untidy and inaccessible for browsing. While the box is checked every few days and the excess books removed, it would be preferable if this wasn’t necessary. If you have excess books to donate, please find them another home or contact Jane Baldwin via the Debenham Village Facebook page.
Thanks to those who gifted the temporary book shelves and books. Also, to Debenham Parish Council and Get Suffolk Reading for supporting the project.
