The Parish Council and the District Council will be continuing with its bin and dog bin emptying works as this is an essential service to protect public health. We will keep reviewing this on a weekly basis. Other works that we will continue will be dealing with any health and safety matter and responding to reports of fly-tipping. Playground inspections ceased on the day play areas were closed to the public.
Public toilets have also been closed.
As Councils, we are working towards looking at where our priority services need to be delivered during this crisis deepens and more work may be suspended if staff is lost or need to be moved to where they are more needed, for example delivering supplies to the most vulnerable.
Groundworks are being suspended so there will be no grass cutting for the time being. We trust that our parishioners will appreciate that this should not be a priority when faced with the other challenges we have. This will also apply to shrub, beds and non-essential tree works.
We thank you for your understanding at this difficult time. Please look after yourselves and your loved ones.
